Driving Sustainable Energy Efficiency through Innovation and Global Impact

As an Engineering Lead at Oracle America’s Opower division, I have focused on advancing energy efficiency through innovative technology solutions that drive sustainable impacts for utility clients and their customers. Oracle reaches over 550 million customers and delivers 2.8 billion utility bills annually, with Opower, a part of Oracle, conserving 38 terawatt-hours of energy since 2009, managing 61 million utility meters, processing 3.8 trillion advanced metering data reads per year, and saving customers a total of $3.6 billion on energy costs. This widespread deployment underscores Opower’s critical role in transforming global energy management and supporting decarbonization efforts.

In my role, I have led the development of two high-impact platforms—Core Entity Data Acquisition System (CEDAS) and the Integration Hub—that have significantly enhanced data integration and operational efficiency for utilities. CEDAS, which earned a U.S. patent, has optimized data acquisition for major utilities companies, allowing them to better engage customers in energy-saving programs aligned with national decarbonization goals. The Integration Hub has reduced vendor integration time and cut associated costs, benefiting major utility companies in North America.

My initiatives extend beyond these platforms, including large-scale cloud migrations, technology stack upgrades, and projects to expand Opower’s solutions in other parts of the world. These efforts have amplified Opower’s capacity to help utilities and their customers manage energy use effectively, enhancing global sustainability and resilience. My work at Oracle Opower demonstrates a commitment to achieving meaningful energy efficiency and underscores my dedication to creating sustainable solutions for a better future.
