IT Product Owner - Financial products

At US Bank, I served as an IT Business Analyst/Product Owner, playing a critical role in the Global Corporate Trust and Global Funds Custody departments. My primary focus was on the development of the Arcaria Overdraft Management Tool, which was designed to streamline and automate the overdraft management process for corporate accounts. This system helped analysts identify whether overdrafts were actual (with no incoming funds) or temporary (with incoming funds expected), improving both operational efficiency and risk management.

As part of the team, I was responsible for gathering and refining business requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate product delivery, and liaising between stakeholders to prioritize features and functionality. The project involved integrating complex financial data while adhering to compliance standards, ultimately enhancing decision-making processes for the bank.

This role required a strong understanding of banking operations, financial systems, and regulatory compliance, as well as the ability to lead a team through the technical implementation of a critical banking product. My contributions helped improve the bank's handling of overdrafts and uninvested cash, enhancing efficiency and reducing operational risk.
