Dancing Through The Pandemic

In January of 2019 the Dance Studio Owners Association (DSOA) launched the world’s first Dance Studio Growth Curriculum, empowering dance studios globally to take a strategic approach to their marketing and acquisition throughout a 12-week online course. The ‘Growth’ curriculum was followed up by the DSOA’s signature Finance and Project Management course, titled Dance Studio Freedom. 

For dance studios, these curricula have resulted in increased jobs, economic turnover, productivity, and contribution to the arts. More than 25 businesses who have participated in these courses have reported revenue increase of over 20% in just 12 months.

In August 2019 the DSOA hosted the only in-person three-day event for dance studio owners and their teams. Over 300 Dance Studio Owners were in attendance at this high-calibre event which coincided with the release of DSOA CEO, Clint Salter’s second Amazon Best-selling book, Dance Studio Secrets.

In the wake of the initial announcements of closures and lockdowns in March 2020, the DSOA launched the industry’s first State Of Your Studio Report and hosted the 90-minute Studio Rise Workshop.

As dance studio owners started to get their footing in their virtual studio, focus shifted to help them prevent any loss, which is why the DSOA created the Dance Studio Rescue Summit in April 2020. This training enlisted the help of 11 industry-leading guest speakers and was hosted for free with over 2,000 Studios in attendance.

 Clint and the DSOA were selected as finalists in the Western Sydney Exporter category for the 2019 Premier's NSW Export Awards, Australia; Awarded the Gold Stevie ® Award for Achievement in Online Training; and awarded the Silver Stevie ® Award for Excellence in Innovation in Business Product & Service Industries.
