Dr. John Lee graduated with a Degree In Doctor Of Medicine from the National University of Malaysia and worked 6 years with the Ministry of Health, Malaysia before joining BP HealthCare, the largest medical diagnostic chain in Southeast Asia.

2 What is your role in the company?

Dr. John Lee is the Naturopathic Nutrition Advisor of Nano Singapore. He is passionate about transforming people’s lives through simple, natural health nutrition and guiding people to be the best version of themselves. Holistic in approach, Dr. John Lee focuses on both the mind and body. His naturopathic philosophy is to make health simple, sustainable, and fun. With good health, life can be enjoyed as it should be and allows us to focus on the people and experiences that are important to us.

Nano Singapore was started on a simple, powerful idea: To Help People Live Happier Through Wellness Innovation. From humble origins in the small city-state of Singapore, Nano Singapore is now Singapore’s Favorite Award-Winning Wellness Brand with a regional presence. 4 Describe the industry your organization is specialized in, as well as its main characteristics.

We are a D2C health supplement and vitamins brand. A direct to consumer (D2C) brand sells products directly to buyers online without involving retail stores or a distribution network. Instead of browsing retail sites like Target or Walmart, buyers go to a company's website, purchase items directly, and get them shipped right away.

It is an extreme honour as the organisation highlights the best of the best through these recognitions. It has also been confirmed to us that all of our hard work over the last two years was worth the dedication. We are also very thankful for the efforts of the organisers as well as our employees and stakeholders. We are extremely proud to be recognised for our commitment to success in the eCommerce industry. Of course, developing a successful presence online as a business can be a stressful journey for most, and while the COVID-19 pandemic presented hardships for business owners all over the world, we were able to navigate those challenges in times of adversity to strengthen our brand and continue our mission.

We experienced manufacturing bottlenecks initially, largely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This presented challenges for us to redesign our supply chain to work with a diversified group of manufacturers closer to our main markets.

8 What is your own definition of a successful team / organization / business?

Having mutual respect, common and aligned goals, open communication, and patience can all help make for a successful team.

9 What led you / your organization to become successful within the industry you are currently in?

Having a strong and dedicated team is the key.

11 What have you found to be a hindering factor, for your business, during the entire course of the pandemic, and how did you overcome that hinderance?

12 What are the current trends in the business industry that you are most excited about?

Automation is a big trend in marketing that we are focusing on and will continue to focus on in the short term. We have already begun marketing integration with the automation software company ActiveCampaign, and we plan to create marketing automation on our website to reduce the number of times a customer abandons their cart. This will help encourage brand awareness and boost repeat purchases. Subscription trends are also something we are actively pursuing. We are working to implement a feature on our website that will allow customers to automatically subscribe to supplements monthly to make purchasing easier for customers and increase their commitment to our products over the long term. Another trend on our radar is a mobile app strategy to provide a more seamless experience for our customers.
