Ekaterina Orlova - Founder & International Entrepreneur

Ekaterina Orlova is an international entrepreneur and the Founder and Managing Director of Palma Realty World in Istanbul. Based in Türkiye for more than 20 years, she has built and continues to manage businesses across several countries and industries.
Her e-commerce story grew from something deeply personal. Handcrafts had been part of her family for generations, and Ekaterina saw an opportunity to turn that tradition into a modern commercial business. In Russia, she developed an e-commerce company in the specialized arts and crafts market and created her own brands, including Ovtsa BeBe, focused on premium knitting yarn, and Soyka, a line of embroidery and needlework products. Production was established in Türkiye and China, while the brands were developed primarily through major Russian online marketplaces.
Real estate, meanwhile, had always been her longstanding professional interest. Alongside e-commerce, Ekaterina built a separate career in the Turkish real estate market. She helped develop and lead Kalinka’s real estate operation in Türkiye before founding Palma Realty World, her own boutique company in Istanbul. Today, she works primarily with international investors and personally leads key client relationships, transactions, business development and cross-border partnerships.
Her entrepreneurial activity has also extended to the United States, where she developed and operated a short-term rental property project in Texas.
At first glance, handcrafts, e-commerce and international real estate may seem like very different worlds. For Ekaterina, they grew from two enduring interests: a family tradition she transformed into a successful commercial venture and a longstanding passion for real estate. Her career has been built around turning both into working businesses across different markets and countries.
