When Verizon aimed to evolve its employer brand, The V Team Life partnered with the company to uncover a distinctive story that would set it apart. The goal was to create a narrative that resonated deeply with current employees and attracted candidates who aligned with Verizon’s culture and mission.
The emphasis on “Life” in the tagline connected authentically with employees and appealed to those seeking a career with a deeper sense of purpose. Verizon empowers its V Teamers to grow, advance, and achieve work-life balance through perks, employee resource groups, and a supportive network. This culture promotes connection, well-being, impact, and trust, helping employees thrive both personally and professionally.
To ensure authenticity, a video anthem featuring real stories from V Teamers was created, shot at Verizon’s Boston Hub. This video showcased personal journeys and introduced the red chair, a symbol of inclusion and boldness, offering a space for employees to share freely. Building on the anthem’s success, the campaign was expanded with red chair photography, a refreshed Verizon Careers website, and a multichannel global campaign across TV, social media, and digital platforms. Within just three weeks, the campaign achieved 507 million impressions, increased site traffic, and generated impressive engagement, continuing to highlight the V Team Life experience and attracting top talent to Verizon.
