Shanmugavelan Ramakrishnan has been a thought leader in cyber risk management, cybersecurity program construction, and Identity and access management space within cybersecurity for the last 14 years. Throughout his career spanning 14 years, he has helped organizations mitigate risks worth more than a billion.

In Shanmugavelan Ramakrishnan's current roles, he single-handedly deals with large programs in risk mitigation. In his previous role, Shanmugavelan Ramakrishnan handled cybersecurity and solution engineering for a cyber risk management advisory firm where he was responsible for increasing revenue within a year. This was possible by wearing multiple hats effectively creative resourcing, and creative solutions to ensure the client’s success criteria were met and cyber risk factors were mitigated.

Shanmugavelan Ramakrishnan started working as a risk and control analyst at age 21 in London UK for a large financial services firm. He switched to cyber risk management as he relocated to the USA and Shanmugavelan Ramakrishnan has been a Cyber risk project manager since age 25, one of the youngest cyber risk program managers in the industry at age 27. Shanmugavelan Ramakrishnan has handled leadership roles managing profit and loss functions for a cyber risk management firm handling their west coast operation and has recently moved back onto the cybersecurity technology leadership ladder.
