Corporate and WHS Risk

In response to the need for an upgraded Risk Management system, the City of Sydney initiated a project with a strategic focus on aligning organizational objectives with risk management practices. Recognizing the limitations of the existing system and the fragmented nature of governance and compliance registers, the project aimed to consolidate various risk-related activities into a unified, cloud-based solution.

The strategic objectives of the project were closely tied to the City's broader goals outlined in the Technology and Information Strategic Plan and the Community Strategic Plan Delivering Sustainable Sydney 2030-2050. The emphasis was on investing in systems that support digital service delivery, workforce mobility, and overall organizational sustainability.

The project's scope encompassed the replacement of the out-of-support Risk Management system and the integration of governance and compliance registers, including policies, conflicts of interest, complaints, investigations, and insurance claims. The result was a centralized tool with improved workflows, reporting capabilities, and automated processes, transforming how the City manages and reports on risk.

A unique aspect of the project was the combination of risk management with governance and compliance registers, making it a complex and unprecedented solution on this scale.
