ADP® Accountant Connect Summit

The third annual ADP® Accountant Connect Summit brought together thought leaders, noted economists, and over 6,500 accounting professionals to discuss the future of accounting. The four-hour, virtual event was developed exclusively for accountants to get an advanced look at the industry’s most pressing opportunities, understand tax, legislative, and compliance trends, and explore the impact of artificial intelligence on the accounting field.

The Summit began with Dan Hood, Editor-in-Chief of Accounting Today, moderating a discussion on the state of the economy and its effect on accounting with Dr. Nela Richardson, ADP Chief Economist, and Dana Peterson, Chief Economist of The Conference Board. The group analyzed economic challenges accountants should address with their clients.

Session two focused on the current tax and HR compliance trends, including state-mandated retirement plans, the latest on SECURE 2.0, IRS-mandated e-filing, and the tax implications of remote work.

In session three, Rightworks Chief Strategist Darren Root and ADP Chief Data Officer Amin Venjara provided an in-depth look at the implications of artificial intelligence on the accounting profession and how AI can help enhance business operations, build client relationships, and increase profits.

Football legends Joe Montana and Jerry Rice discussed life beyond the NFL and the critical role work ethic, trust, and organizational culture play in a successful business in the closing keynote.

Accounting professionals were invited to the free summit via organic and paid social media, direct email, print, and digital advertising. Participants were eligible for up to four CPE credits for attending, and sessions were recorded for on-demand viewing.
