Diverse tech teams are vital in creating a future where tech is fair, accessible and beneficial globally. Only 19% of UK and 17% of European tech specialists are female. Professionals from all diverse groups are more likely to leave tech prematurely. Although many leaders understand the importance of D&I, few are sustainably improving it: Templeton’s Hiring Diversity Report found 72% of business leaders struggle significantly.
Despite serving many geographies and groups, recruitment is historically a white male-dominated environment. Templeton was founded on the principle of D&I 27 years ago. As a young person from an ethnic minority background, Templeton’s Founder and CEO Nadeem Ahmad was driven to create a truly diverse recruitment agency that also led diversity in tech and business.
