Kadambari Sahu- Creative Executive of the Year

Kadambari is an International multi-award-winning Design Leader, working as SVP at ValueLabs. She founded the User Experience Group at ValueLabs in June 2018 and is currently leading 50+ designers to create world-class products and services to have a positive impact on businesses and society. She is also leading two new teams Brands and NextGenTech at ValueLabs and is trying to create a culture of inclusion and innovation through design and technology. In her career, she faced discriminatory treatment dismissing her creativity and leadership because of her gender and nationality. This propelled her to challenge such stereotypes by designing world-class products and services with her team to create equitable futures. In 2021, Stevie-Awards named her the Creative Executive of the Year, Woman of the Year, and Executive of the Year - Business/Professional Services. The practice led by her was also named the Design Agency of the Year by Stevie and ranked 3rd in the top creative agencies by Muse Awards. This was made possible through solid design evangelism, persistence, and designing alongside, she was able to bring about a positive impact on each of the projects that were being worked on. This change in perspective echoed in the growth of the business. Per project, growth was approximately increased by 1800%. The users' positive experience with new designs and overall positive response from business stakeholders created a trust to work again and led to recommendations to other businesses fuelling further growth. Since 2019, 150+ awards have been won by her and her team for design and leadership.
She believes that by elevating design awareness and promoting good design practices, society will be positively impacted, and Design Inspire is the manifestation of that belief. She founded and worked with her team to launch the DI Platform which helps designers across the world in various capacities to encourage, educate and promote design awareness. She has been vocal about spreading equity and this has found ways through her talks and co-chairing the Interaction 2022 awards by IXDA. She is a jury member for international programs: Commarts, Vega, Muse etc
