WillowPure: Decontamination Technology

It started in 2015 when Jill was approached by a cultivator who knew of her experience with consumer safety in the food and beverage industry. It was clear to her that cannabis contamination was an industry-wide problem, and there were no solutions on the market. Jill built an R&D lab to test different methods of decontamination, and found that Ozone was successful in killing microbes, without altering the medicinal properties of the plant. Jill has built Willow Industries into a powerhouse in the legal cannabis industry. Her patented decontamination technology brought a science-backed solution to an emerging industry that is still finding its footing with contaminant testing and consumer safety standards. WillowPure systems target yeast, mold, bacteria, and other harmful pathogens that can naturally live on cannabis products. Cannabis is a medicine and if not treated properly, these microbes can cause allergic reactions, and conditions like Aspergillosis especially to immunocompromised patients. The ozone-based technology breaks down the cell wall of these dangerous microbes, and is the only organic cannabis decontamination solution created specifically for cannabis cultivators by cannabis experts. Since 2016, her team of engineers has built models with growers of any size in mind: the WillowPure 5, 20, 40, and the newest model launched in 2020, the WillowPure 360. Each model was developed with cultivator needs in mind and improved with in-house R&D, along with software upgrades and improved mechanics. The WillowPure 360 was engineered with a turning drum system, evolving from the rack and trays used in previous models, which are all still used by WillowPure partners. The new model improved microbial kill rates and expanded on the existing success of the plug and play technology.
