In my current role as Manager of Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET) at Akamai Technologies Inc. in San Jose, California, I hold full responsibility for ensuring the quality of multiple Akamai products. I lead a global team of SDET engineers, overseeing the technical aspects of product testing. As Nassim Nicholas Taleb famously said, "Quality is the result of an intelligent effort, not a chance happening." This resonates deeply with me as I am deeply involved in defining and driving organizational-level quality and test strategies. This entails shaping software release processes, establishing STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) processes, and implementing the necessary tools to streamline our operations. Moreover, I am heavily involved in project planning, goal setting, and timeline establishment for the team. This includes making critical personnel decisions such as recruitment, conducting interviews, performing performance evaluations, setting yearly objectives for team members, and supervising day-to-day activities for the SDET team.

Unbeknownst to many, Akamai plays a pivotal role in enabling and safeguarding these online experiences. Over two decades ago, we embarked on a mission to tackle one of the most daunting challenges of the nascent internet: the dreaded "World Wide Wait." As an Engineering Manager overseeing a Test team, my ideation process blends structured methodology with creative exploration. It begins with pinpointing issues or opportunities in our daily tasks, relying on keen observation and foresight to understand customer needs and pain points. I collect input from various sources, hosting brainstorming sessions and collaborative discussions to generate diverse ideas. I then prioritize and refine these ideas for viability and effectiveness. Remaining receptive to new insights and unexpected connections, I foster a culture of creativity and experimentation within my team. This environment encourages the exploration of fresh ideas. Ultimately, we aim to develop innovative solutions that address the challenges and add value. My family, consisting of my parents, Shatrughan Singh and Meena Singh, as well as my siblings Ashish Kumar and Vandana Singh, have been my greatest source of inspiration. Witnessing my parents' perseverance and unwavering determination has instilled in me the value of consistent effort and the belief that results will naturally follow. As the youngest member of the family, I've always felt surrounded by love and support from my siblings, who have consistently encouraged me in all my endeavors and pursuits.

I abide by three guiding principles in life: maintaining consistent effort in the right direction without fixating on outcomes, practicing thoughtful responses instead of impulsive reactions, and actively listening and learning from everyone.
