ASI Construction, United States
Jay Andreas focuses on helping people who may not be able to afford roofing, siding, and/or gutters, in the storm damage restoration market.
1 Please provide us with a brief bio of yourself.
My name is Jay Andreas and I am the CEO of ASI Construction. Initially, I was hired to head up the company’s sales organization as the director of sales. While in this position, I developed, grew, and managed a team of high-performing sales reps over a five-year time span. Under my leadership, ASI Construction has rapidly expanded into a multimillion-dollar company.
2 Please tell us more about your organization.
ASI Construction is a family-owned business in Burr Ridge, Illinois with over 30 years of experience. We provide exterior remodeling services in the residential and commercial along with general contracting. We also process insurance claims from start to finish on a very high level, and we are partnered with a world-class supplement department. We are a well-respected leader in the wind & hail, storm damage market. Our commitment to our clients and work has led us to great success. Due to this success and substantial business growth, it was time for our business to add to its Frankfort, Illinois location. We chose to build a 4,000 square foot location in downtown Burr Ridge. Due to our rapid growth, we were was able to launch a window and door division as well as a commercial exterior department.
3 Congratulations! As the winner of the TITAN Business Awards, what does it mean for you and your team to receive this distinction?
It is an honor to receive this award and it speaks to our commitment to giving the best service to our clients year after year. We very much thank the TITAN Business Awards for recognizing our company’s focus on safety.
4 What is your own definition of a successful team / organization / business?
To me, as a CEO, I believe in keeping morale high every second of the day and in being patient. CEOs are the visionaries of their companies. They need to always think outside of the box and be innovative. They need to learn to adapt and make extremely calculated risks. CEOs need to make sure the people they hire to run specific divisions are smarter than they are in their field. For example, if you sell windows, go out and hire the “Michael Jordan” of windows. Provide these people an opportunity to do what they do best and give them freedom as well as structure. Do not manage people out of the door. You never fire people because people fire themselves. Be calculated on whom you hire; everyone is a puzzle piece. It’s your job as a CEO to make sure they all “fit and gel well” with the group and each other. If you, as a CEO, create an amazing culture that is intoxicating, it will be the best tool for recruiting and retention in your arsenal.
5 What led you / your organization to become successful within the industry you are currently in?
Working with any and all insurance companies is what sets us apart from the competition. We are an insurance-based roofing, siding, window & door company. We offer free roofing / siding / window / door / full eight-point thorough inspections. We also offer retail services involving free estimates for roofing, siding, windows & doors. We offer top-of-the-line products, and we have an incredible network of installers.
