Husband-and-wife team Jai and Ashleigh Oliver have transformed a struggling AV business from a $14,800 loss in FY23 into a $5.6million industry leader in FY25.
Infinite AV Solutions specialises in the supply, installation and servicing of advanced display technologies, including digital signage displays, projectors, audiovisual solutions and even taxi systems! Their new taxi system at St Gabriel's school now enables students to get out of the school in 15 minutes, compared to the previous 40 minutes. And that’s what tech is about to Jai and Ashleigh: client benefits, not the product itself.
History
In 2019, Jai started the business hand-delivering flyers to homes, targeting small residential AV solutions. After winning their first business contract in 2020, they pivoted to serve this market, seeing the scale potential.
Still a one-van operation, Jai brought on his first employee, his wife Ashleigh, in 2022. By 2023, the business was generating $996,000 in revenue but incurred a loss of $14,800.
With their strategic focus and growing reputation in the business market, they quickly turned this around, posting $2,700,000 revenue and $109,900 profit in 2024, and growing this to over $5.5 million revenue and $381,640 in 2025. This is set against the backdrop of an industry growing at a rate of just 5-7% per annum.
In 2024, Infinite AV also established two related businesses, iLED Solutions and TechOut, to expand its end-to-end supply chain and enhance its offering to existing and new clients. See Q2 for more information (pg2-3).
The company now has six vehicles, nine employees and installs in four States. It has now successfully delivered over 2,500 projects to Australian education (50%), government and corporate (50%) clients, including NRMA Insurance, Australian Border Force, Mercedes-Benz and NSW Police (pg4).
Their independent education market share increased from 2% to 30%.
One client’s first invoice was for $693 for equipment service. They’ve since billed over $1 million in revenue, with regular invoices over $120,000.
Their growth also comes from happy clients who proactively refer, ie Suttons Trucks has referred eight companies, and marketing to independent schools.
