The organization (NGO) is youth-led by three 14-year-olds for nonprofits tackling environmental sustainability through advocacy, education, and restoration. Led by Mick, Dylan, and Aric Nagra, the organization was established in response to the growing environmental crisis, including deforestation, climate change, and plastic pollution. Recognizing the urgent need for action, the team launched initiatives to combat these pressing challenges through advocacy, education, and hands-on environmental restoration projects.
One of Green Teen Generation’s flagship initiatives was a large-scale reforestation project, which led to the planting of 1,040 trees in areas affected by deforestation and climate change. This effort not only restored biodiversity habitats but also improved air quality and mitigated climate impacts. In 2024 alone, Green Teen Generation’s environmental efforts contributed to the removal of approximately 48,246 pounds of pollutants from the atmosphere.
In addition to hands-on conservation work, Green Teen Generation has focused on education and global engagement. The organization launched an environmental education campaign that reached 80,000 schools across the United States, providing millions of students with resources and actionable sustainability initiatives, such as solar power programs and sustainable school gardens. The team also organized the World Youth Sustainability Summit, bringing together young leaders and environmental experts to address global environmental challenges and foster collaborative solutions.
Furthering their advocacy, the brothers co-authored Green Teens: Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future, an award-winning book that serves as a guide for young environmentalists. The book, which won an International Impact Book Award, equips youth with the knowledge and motivation to drive sustainability efforts.
The goal of Green Teen Generation is to empower young people to take meaningful action toward environmental sustainability through innovation, community engagement, and global advocacy.
Success has been measured through key performance indicators (KPIs) such as the number of trees planted, the volume of pollutants removed, the reach of educational campaigns, the number of students impacted, and global participation in sustainability initiatives. The organization’s impact was recognized in 2024 when Mick, Dylan, and Aric received a gold medal for Innovation and Sustainability, underscoring their commitment to driving transformative environmental change.
