Following its success in 2024, the NBA Basketball School (NBS), the league's basketball development program, held the second edition of the USA Camp / Cleveland Tour, a camp that brought together around 25 young people from Brazil for ten days of immersion in the world of the best basketball in the world. In collaboration with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the 2016 champion team, the trip was full of activities, surprises, experiences and emotions, leaving a lasting impression on the group's lives.

The Cavs' relationship with Brazil goes back a long way: Anderson Varejao played for 13 seasons wearing the burgundy and gold jersey, being an idol and ambassador for the franchise, and leader of the 'Cavs in Brazil' project, in which the organization promotes actions with the community in the country since 2023. The Camp in Ohio is an unprecedented initiative in Brazil, which has become an important benchmark and earned international awards for global strategy and communication.

During the trip, the young people from NBS participated in training at high-performance gyms, at the exclusive Cavs Training Center, watched NBA, NBA G-League and hockey league games, met with franchise executives, played at the Rocket Arena (Cleveland's arena), met with players, spent a day at the city's Food Bank, visited Akron (LeBron James' hometown, where they visited the school he studied at, the museum that bears his name and the school he built), among other moments. An unforgettable experience.

Brazil is number 1 in the NBS program in the world (outside the US), with more than 15,000 athletes, ages 6 to 17, boys and girls, in addition to a network of more than 1,000 coaches and 220 centers spread throughout the country - the largest sports development network in Brazil.

The NBS USA Camp / Cleveland Tour was a unique experience and puts Brazil in an important position in the global league scenario. The third edition has already been confirmed for January 2026 and, more than the passion for the game, more than an opportunity to breathe sport 24h a day, the goal is to surprise even more.
