Vermosa, a central business and residential district that straddles the Imus and Dasmarinas City in Cavite, Philippines boasts a complete package of residences, malls, offices, institutions and a world-class sports training destination.
Vermosa brings progress for the community and also sustainable practices and campaigns. The estate continuously promotes modern and active living. In 2022, Vermosa pushed the envelope by providing not only the estate’s promise to have an active lifestyle within the development but to help build a greener tomorrow with the launch of Vermosa Green Run. The run advocated for the community’s return to fitness and overall wellness, coming from being lethargic due to being locked down during the pandemic. Everyone was invited to lace up and run for a greener tomorrow. Over 1,800 participated which instantly made it Vermosa’s signature event.
Owing to this success, we came back with a 2nd and bigger Vermosa Green Run last June 25, 2023. It was a multi-level run within its property that is fast gaining fame as the new sports and fitness hub.
Consisting of 21K, 10K, 5K and 3K distance categories for racers and 1k Dog run, the run targeted elite athletes, fun runners, families, friends and our furry friends. Various running routes winding through wide open spaces and abundant greenery punctuated with wide pedestrian walkways, bicycle lanes, and enhanced greenways made this Run a great experience.
The Green Run had over 2,500 race attendees and supporters that generated over PHP 2.1 million in ticket sales. Over 500,000 people were reached online regarding this green campaign.
Vermosa had partnered with Pinoy Fitness, the multisport event organizer, to conduct the Run. Part of the proceeds went to Haribon Foundation’s Adopt a seedling Program, to build a greener future.
This run has reached beyond its course. While primarily aimed at getting back into fitness, it also brought people to bond together in the spirit of camaraderie towards a healthy cause and to give back to the community by protecting the environment, all leading up to a greater vision of enabling a sustainable future for the next generation.
