Virtualitics, Inc.'s most prominent design innovation this year is a suite of apps designed to help teams achieve the highest level of readiness and efficiency. There are existing solutions for determining “When will something break?” but to optimize performance teams should also be asking “How will we respond?”

Answering those questions requires a holistic strategy that overcomes disconnected systems, but getting that overarching view isn’t easy. To know the health of the systems the company has to incorporate pre-existing maintenance activity, simulate future maintenance events, predict failures to reduce unscheduled maintenance, optimize its inventory and spare kit parts, prioritize its facilities and manpower, and more. All at once. That’s too much for humans to manage; teams needed an answer driven by AI that could show an integrated plan of how to respond to these events to improve their overall readiness.

Virtualitics Integration Resource Optimization (IRO) is an AI-driven approach to enterprise and mission success that can answer these critical systemic questions. IRO tackles a problem that is easy to describe but is far more complex when analyzed closely. The challenge Virtualitics, Inc. identified shortly into the project was that interdependencies, tribal knowledge, and disparate data sources were not usually unified or connected. These siloed sources of information had always been used, and creating change in this process would be very difficult. To solve this problem, Virtualitics, Inc. designed for the Data Nucleus to sit at the center of IRO to effectively map all those interdependencies.

The initial mapping of this data was challenging, but it's what makes the IRO solution possible. Virtualitics, Inc. partnered with subject matter experts to carefully translate tribal knowledge into a productive data repository that fuels incredible AI applications. The company now starting to explore how to use Generative AI methods to rapidly accelerate the process of constructing the Data Nucleus to launch IRO for new organizations even faster.
