Ayala Malls Abreeza is Davao’s mall of choice for everyday pleasures in the heart of the city. Designed with a focus on fostering connections, it provides a welcoming space ideal setting for leisure and nurturing relationships. Over time, Ayala Malls Abreeza has played host to an array of distinctive events that have injected a vibrancy into Davao’s social landscape—spanning from grand concerts to star-studded showcases, captivating traveling exhibitions, innovative art exhibitions, among others. However, when COVID-19 pandemic came, stringent measures were imposed, including the prohibitions of large gatherings—the lifeblood of Ayala Malls Abreeza’s vibrant atmosphere.
In March 2020 and the subsequent months, Filipinos grappled with unprecedented challenges that triggered negative emotions. Prevailing moods included anxiety about health, safety, and security; grief over loved ones lost and worry about loved ones who remain; and apprehension and pessimism about what the future holds. Amidst these challenges, the marketing team faced a daunting task of reigniting the vibrancy that had dimmed in the wake of the pandemic. Hence, in 2021 Ayala Malls Abreeza mounted the Grateful Wall to spread positivity during the New Year. Following its success, the team opted for a second iteration as 2022 commenced with an omicron surge.
