BeSmartee was founded in 2006 by mortgage industry veterans at the onset of the housing crisis. As one of the original mortgage point-of-sale platforms, the founders recognized that the mortgage process could be improved by utilizing source-data and automation in order to streamline the consumer experience, increase data integrity for lenders and lead to a day where a consumer could enter fulfillment in minutes. So, as young and eager entrepreneurs normally do, the founders jumped head-in first and designed the platform. Unfortunately, the mortgage crisis turned the world upside down and BeSmartee’s vision was put on hold. Fast forward to 2014, after exiting their respective mortgage lending and technology businesses, the founders started development of BeSmartee in 2014. Surprisingly, the original business plan and platform was years ahead of its time and BeSmartee quickly went live to the world at the beginning of 2016. Since those humble beginnings, BeSmartee still stands behind its mission to make mortgages easy, fast, and transparent for both consumers and lenders. Today, BeSmartee services some of the worlds’ largest banks and non-bank lenders, processing north of 25,000 applications per month through its consumer, TPO and solar platforms.
