Project Description
Zarina Tasheva is the Strategic HR Leader with a Master's in HRM at Rome Business School. With over 15 years of experience in Human Resources Management from Uzbekistan and currently working as a Head of HR in JV “Uz-Kor Gas Chemical”, for the largest prominent polymer manufacturer in Central Asia, Zarina is a passionate and strategic leader who drives organizational excellence and innovation. Her mission is to foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and diversity, and to empower employees to achieve their full potential. As the HR Leader she was leading HR operations of the biggest Oil and Gas projects such as Uz-Kor Gas Chemical and Uzbekistan GTL in Central Asia with a diverse and dynamic workforce of over 2000 employees and around 10000 people worked during the construction phase of the projects. Her core competencies include organizational strategy, industrial relations, resource planning, and policy development. She also provides expert guidance to management on the implementation and administration of new or updated HR policies and procedures, ensuring seamless alignment with organizational goals and transformation. In 2021 she received a Commemorative Badge of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for her special contribution to the development of the country and the Oil and Gas sector. Since last year she has been pioneering and focusing on the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in HR management for better transformation of HR activities and to recharge employees' capabilities in the company.

Question 2 : Outline your nominated organizational, departmental, team, or individual achievements, dated 1-3 years prior, based on your selected categories.
As HR Leader, I had a chance to gain a combination of professional achievements, leadership qualities, and contributions to the HR field for the last decade of my career path. Being briefly, I would like to emphasize my career achievements specifically for the last 3 years according award entries requirement. Firstly, I had a privilege to be nominated and be nationally awarded on May 2021 by the Commemorative Badge of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in honor of "30th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan" for special contribution as HR leader to the development of the country and the oil and gas sector. Within those three years, I dedicated myself to advancing my educational knowledge, culminating in the attainment of a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management from the Rome Business School in February 2022. Subsequently, my focus shifted towards enhancing my expertise in industrial management within the internationally recognized ISO management system. I also have attended trainings where successfully passed examinations and received my certificates in ISO 45001:2018 - Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems in August 2022 and ISO 50001:2018 - Energy Management Systems in January 2023. Besides my intensive work in consulting sphere I had opportunity to be nominated to participate as a judge in jury panel in International Employer Brand Award for CIS, Europe and Central Asia, which was held in October 2023. Moreover, amidst the prevailing discussions on Artificial Intelligence in the business world, I actively engaged in researching its potential benefits for humans. Collaborating with IT executives, our interactive work yielded several published articles in scientific and business journals, reflecting our insights into the integration of Artificial Intelligence into various aspects of our work and HR industry.
Question 3 : Provide examples of the strategies / plans you have introduced, in order to attain your nominated organizational, departmental, team, or individual achievements. Explain why the highlighted achievements are significant / unique.
It`s significant to any HR Professionals to have achievements which show a well-rounded approach to professional development and contribution. 1. National Award: Strategy/Plan introduced: I was given this award for implemented strategies to enhance HR practices within the oil and gas sector, fostering talent development, improving workforce efficiency, and contributing to the overall growth of the sector. Significance/Uniqueness: This award recognizes exceptional contributions, showcasing leadership qualities and the positive impact have had on the development of both the country and a crucial sector. It highlights ability to make a meaningful difference on a national scale. 2. Master's Degree in HRM: Strategy/Plan introduced: The pursuit of higher education is a strategic move to enhance my knowledge and skills in HR management. Significance/Uniqueness: Achieving a Master's Degree from a reputable institution like RBS demonstrates commitment to continuous learning and positions me as a well-qualified HR leader with up-to-date knowledge in the field. 3. ISO Certifications: Strategy/Plan introduced: It helps me in implementation strategies to align organizational processes with ISO standards, ensuring compliance and improvement in occupational health and safety as well as energy management. Significance/Uniqueness: These certifications underscore commitment to global best practices, demonstrating ability to create a safe and sustainable work environment. It also shows capacity to adapt to and implement international standards within any organization. 4. Participation as a Judge in International Employer Brand Award: Strategy/Plan: Involvement as a judge indicates my active engagement in the HR and employer branding community, possibly through networking and collaboration initiatives. Significance/Uniqueness: Serving as a judge in a prestigious international event demonstrates industry recognition and expertise. It reflects my position as recognized HR leader within the CIS, Europe, and Central Asia regions. 5. Research and Publication on Artificial Intelligence: Strategy/Plan introduced: Focus on AI suggests a strategic alignment with emerging trends, possibly incorporating AI into HR practices. Significance/Uniqueness: The research and publication of articles in scientific and business journals highlight proactive approach to staying at the forefront of industry trends. It positions me a forward-thinking HR leader who leverages technology for the benefit of both employees and the organization.
