Filmed inside Nasdaq's MarketSite studio in Times Square or remote locations, each episodes explores the parallels of business and sports, covering topics like resilience and leadership, the business of sports, the rise of women’s sports, athlete entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and more. Hosted by Nasdaq’s Joel Kolani and Poppy Shen, the show features world‑class athletes, entrepreneurs, and sports executives—including Jimmy Butler, Allyson Felix, Alex Honnold, Toto Wolff, George Russell, Kelley O’Hara, and Jordan Chiles—exploring themes such as the business of sports, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, equity in sports, and other topics that spark conversations with deep cultural and social resonance across audiences. The series was created to position Nasdaq as a cultural leader at the intersection of business and sports—an overlap where 95% of Fortune 500 CEOs are sports fans or former athletes. This alignment presented a powerful opportunity to engage influential business audiences through sports‑anchored storytelling. Our goals were to elevate brand awareness and cultural relevance, establish credibility in the “business of sports” space, drive measurable engagement across channels, and build a high‑performing franchise capable of unlocking enterprise partnerships and sponsorships. The show became Nasdaq’s top-performing content franchise across channels. In 2025, it delivered 14.3M+ video views and 700K+ engagements, surpassing all internal benchmarks—average views per post exceeded targets by 50%, and engagement per post outperformed Nasdaq benchmarks by 310%. The series also became a strategic business development tool, converting cultural relevance into enterprise-level partnerships. It helped secure Nasdaq's official sponsorship of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and co-branded segment like the “Accelerating Leadership” bridging the F1 and business audience. Additional partnerships with USTA, MLS, Monumental Sports, NBA, PGA followed. Offered as a unique engagement opportunity for listing clients, partners, and organizations seeking to collaborate with Nasdaq, The Winning Formula created a differentiated value proposition—giving partners access to premium storytelling and cultural alignment that amplifies their brand alongside Nasdaq’s.
